The Challenge

Ekhaya Luxury Resort, located on the serene shores of Lake Malawi in Mangochi, sought a redesign of their website to showcase their new facilities and enhance the overall user experience. The resort had expanded with new executive rooms, a restaurant, and conference facilities, and needed a digital presence that reflects this growth, while staying true to its luxury offering and connection to local traditions. The initial website was outdated and did not fully represent the resort’s transformation or new offerings. The design lacked modern aesthetics, mobile responsiveness, and clear navigation for users to easily explore the resort’s amenities. Additionally, the resort needed a platform that could effectively convey its combination of modern luxury and cultural charm.

Our Approach

We approached the revamp of EKhaya Luxury Resort as a strategic brand elevation initiative rather than a simple redesign. Beginning with a detailed review of the existing platform, we identified gaps in user experience, brand perception, and booking visibility. In collaboration with the resort team, we clarified the target audience, refined key messaging, and aligned the digital direction with the resort’s premium positioning. The new experience was designed to feel elegant, immersive, and intuitive, using strong visual storytelling, improved content structure, and clearer calls to action to guide guests naturally toward reservations. Following rigorous testing to ensure consistency across devices and touchpoints, the platform was launched as a refined, high-performing digital presence that more accurately reflects the exclusivity of the resort while strengthening its ability to attract and convert guests.
