Flexing Digitally: KOAKH Fit’s Move from Local to Online

The KOAKH Fit store is more than an online shop; it is a benchmark for what e-commerce can look like in Malawi. From premium apparel to professional gym equipment, customers can now explore, order, and engage with a fitness brand in ways that were not available before.
The Challenge
KOAKH Fit needed more than a website; they wanted a complete online store that could serve as a first-of-its-kind platform in Malawi, bringing together activewear, gym equipment, and a seamless shopping experience. The challenge was to create a system that worked for local realities; payments, logistics, and user trust, while delivering a world-class digital storefront.
Our Approach
We began by grounding the project in KOAKH Fit’s dual identity: a fitness lifestyle brand and a supplier of professional gym equipment. This meant creating an e-commerce solution flexible enough to serve B2C apparel customers while also handling B2B equipment sales. On the business side, we worked closely with the KOAKH team to translate their brand vision into a structured online store, balancing storytelling with sales functionality. This involved curating copy, imagery, and product categorization that reflected their minimal, modern aesthetic while driving conversions.
